Hi I have just built first store with osCommerce 2.2.. I integrated the payment gateway using the Payment Module for Paypal Website Standard Payments and it works fine but my site defaults to $AUD but my first customer made purchase for $64AUD and got charged in $64 US dollars. Can someone please help with this one as PayPal are saying the problem is with the settings in osCommerce... I have seen some offers of updated files pre-integrated with AUD, Australian Zones and Aust Post Shipping etc... Can you advise what is involved in adding this kind of fix and if it will work with a site that is already built. I could see no instructions on how to modify this info?

Hope you can help as my store is live and I don't want to upset any customers who order and get charged US dollars! :(

My store is here

Hi, there is a thread for paypal - see if it answers your question.

Running a botched up version of  osCommerce Online Merchant v2.3.4 bootstrap with the dresscode theme installed, numerous add-ons, terrible coding, terrible website, but will have to make do until I have made up for my losses and can risk shutting down for a couple of weeks while I start all over again. - I did not install my program but am endeavouring to fix it with your help.

Thanks for your help but I have set up ok but something goes wrong when payment goes thru paypal and it changes to USD instead of AUD. I can't see anything relating to that or did I miss it?

there seems an awful lot that is valid, I think you need to check thu each bit carefully, beacuse it obviously isn't set up correctly.

note:

5. Next go to Locations / Taxes and set the country your shop is in, the tax zone it is in if you need to charge tax and then Tax Zones, Classes and Rates - exactly how to do this is beyond the scope of this tutorial but there is plenty of help in the forums for setting up the various national tax requirements.

6. Next go to Localization and setup the currencies you want to be able to accept. Remember it is most important to set your national currency as the default currency or your site will display all its prices in US Dollars and pass those prices to PayPal as US Dollars too.7. Next set the Default Language for the site and add any other languages you wish to offer

8. Make a note of the changes you have made as you will need them for the next step - setting up PayPal

Setting up PayPal

First a word of warning. If you put PayPal into a search engine to find the home page and setup a business account you will end up on the US PayPal site - OK if you live in the USA but not so good if you live elsewhere as there are quite a few differences in the way PayPal handles payments directed to UK shops or those in the EEC. Like wise the Australian shops have specific requirements so make sure you are logging in to your National branch of PayPal. I am in the UK so I will go through the steps needed for a UK site

4. In here you have the choice of accepting just your default currency, or having other currencies converted.
