Auto selection of payment choice

Hi,

 

When people get to the check out, they have a choice of options. the checkout automatically chooses cheque, but i'd rather it be set to PAYPAL, can anyone tell me where the little bit of code is i need to alter for this? I can't do it from the interface as for somereason that never updates!

 

Also - if possible! I'd like to stop foriegn people choosing cheque! it seem that i simply need to sort the zones thing, but zone 1 included GB and all of europe i think.

 

Any ideas

Set the page before not to go to this page.

and how to set it like that? :) that if it's jumped over payment choosing page will he still know that ithe only payment method that exists is the payment method

you can also try putting this code in your checkout_payment.php file.

 

find these lines of code:

// load all enabled payment modules
 require(DIR_WS_CLASSES . 'payment.php');
 $payment_modules = new payment;

 

add these lines after the lines above:

// skip if only 1 payment method available
 if (tep_count_payment_modules() == 1) {
 if (!tep_session_is_registered('payment')) tep_session_register('payment');
 tep_redirect(tep_href_link(FILENAME_CHECKOUT_CONFIRMATION, '', 'SSL'));
}

 

your site will automatically check how many payment methods there are and if there is only one, it will skip to the next step. this will be great if you add another payment option later because you do not have to change anything.
