Change URL in database

When my host company set up my oscommerce, they used "mysite.secureorder.net" as the database name instead of "mysite.com". I didn't catch it until I was up and running for some time.

Is there a way to change the database name to mysite.com without blowing up my store. I can't start over, this isn't an option.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Dorinda,

Why would you like to change the name of database. It doesnt' show up to customers so why would you like to change it.

Also - the question would be best answered by your hosting provider if they allow renaming database or have tools in the control panel to achieve that.

You may explore the option of cloning the database, and make appropriate changes in configure.php to see if that works for you!

Cheers

OK I think I explained this wrong. What I need to change is the base href. Right now I'm dealing with two sites. One is www.favorsbydorinda.com which was my main site. My oscommerce site is www.favorsbydorinda.secureorder.net

That's where the problem lies. How do I change that to read www.favorsbydorinda.com so that all the pages say .com and not secureorder.net?? And can I do that without blowing everything up?

Post entries in configure.php (for catalog and admin) - do make sure you hide the username and password for your store (it is typically towards the end / bottom)
