mxhall Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 I have setup my shipping module to use the table rate. I setup a rate table, 35:19.95,40:21.95,70:39.90. etc. I also set table rate shipping = "true, table method""weight" ,and tax class="none". I have setup product attributes for each product with product options = "weight" with a value in pounds, so each product has a weight attribute. when I place an order and go to checkout, I get on the delivery information page; "table rate" (best way) and the shipping cost of 19.95 even though the weight is greater than 35 pounds and the shipping cost should be more than 19.95. is there some connection between the product item and the shipping module that I am missing? Can someone give me some direction on where to look to solve this problem this is my first use of osCommerce and I'm still learning, so I would appreciate any help given.
ricksteruk2005 Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Have you set the weight as a attribute because if you have then that would not work. In admin/categories, where you actually enter all the product details there is a box at the bottom called weight, by default OSC will take the weight you enter in here to calculate the shipping. I dont help with templates (thats what the seller is for) th search function will often help, when it dont try this in google. site:http://www.oscommerce.com/forums then your search word

Thanks Rick for your help, that solved my problem and the shipping is being calculated correctly.
