Rollover swap image "and" text caption

I am contemplating adding some extra pages to my osC site, such as "How-to's" and an "Image Gallery" to name a few.

 

I have no problem using javascript for creating rollover image swaps. But what I need to do is swap the caption of the larger image also.

Caption

Thumbnail | Thumbnail | Thumbnail

 

When I click a thumbnail the large image swaps. But I can't figure out how to swap the caption text along with it.

 

I have been Googling for days now trying different things. The closest I came was something I found for using with GoLive (click here). It swapped things fine while testing in browsers on my PC, but once uploaded it broke. I found this - click here but it seems complicated and I've been deciphering code for what seems to be forever.

 

Javascript, layers, div's, php, anything... ??

 

Any ideas, thoughts or pointing in the right direction would be truely appreciated! :huh:
