confirmation numbers

Hi, I'm a newcomer here and am modifying an existing OSCommerce site for a friend. Most of the requests were pretty straightforward and I only have two left. I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of an add-on that may be available or where in OSCommerce I should be looking to get this done...any help that can be offered is much appreciated.

 

1. Changing the status of "delivered" to "shipped" in both the website and in the email sent to the customer.

 

2. Adding a confirmation number to each purchase (I would guess this might be an add-on, but couldn't find one when briefly searching).

 

Again, thanks for any help. This is my first time dealing with an OSCommerce website, but it's been a pleasure to learn and modify. Apologies if I placed this in the wrong section.
