Swaping Product Name with Product Description in Categories listing

Hello

I have been searching the forums for something which i thought would be quite easy to do. What i want to do is replace the Product Name+ With the product Description. Is there any really quick ways of doing this with out having to amend tonnes of code.

nope i started to look at this yesterday but i could not find some of the code. I will look at this again but it does seem a little crazy how much code you have to enter just to get one field.

There are no downloads with the code already added so i can do a straight swap on the server?

I have attempted to add this to my site but it changed some created an error on the admin area and then i had to do a reinstall. is there a download with all the changes made so i can overwrite the original files?

Just go over the install very carefully, there is nothing that awkward, I would describe it as no more than average for difficulty

There is not a pre-installed version, which no doubt you would have trouble with anyway.

Well I have gone through this with a fine tooth comb and still getting errors. I have found with the installation guide that the code to find and replace either does not exist or in a completely different place.

To me the installation guide is wrong. Can someone just check that the original code matches the installation guide. I need some help so far this is my third attempt and i need this to work.... HELP

This was originally written some time ago, so may not match all versions, just use some common sense & look at ther code, itys usually pretty clear what needs to go where.

In any case there are various versions of the install, have u made sure u selected one that matches your site!!!

I have the correct installation guide but still the code does not match the code within the version i have of oscommerce. I think i may move to another shopping cart or create my own.
