Please anybody - urgent help needed

Hi. Please help as something has happened and I am not sure what.

 

I tried to upload a contribution (Attribute sort Clone v1.8.3) but got an error message. Luckily I backed up my db before I did this.

 

I have just been in my admin area trying to do some catalog attributes and while I can delete them I can't do any new ones - keep getting this message

As I seem to have encountered this problem after trying to upload the Attribute sort sql file I thought I would import the back up of the db I made.

 

When I try to import the original db it fails and I am getting pages and pages of error messages which I have copied below. Can someone PLEASE help me - I can't do any more work on my store and I am pulling my hair out.

You restored your database to before adding the mod? if so it seems you still have mod configured in attributes, upload a deafult admin/products_attributes.php

if you restored only the files back to original and not database simply amend the table deleting the extra field(s) the contribution added by running the sql by using phpmyadmin

AND Database backup manager http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/5769

 

for more reliable operations

Hi Steve/Spooks, thanks for replying. The attribute sort clone contribution (which I didn't think worked) added this to the database

I just uploaded the original admin/products_attributes.php and still can't use admin (catalog attributes). I have an extra column now (still) in catalog under products expected called "define main page" but if I click on this I get a not found messge.

 

The installation file for the contribution says....

Product Attributes are read out from the database and placed into a select box,

however the top most attribute becomes the default, with no way to override or

set the sort order of the options. This may result in a default item with a price

different from the posted price. Operating on the assumption that price modifiers

should be specifically selected by the user, this addon adds a sort field to the

product_atributes table, products_attributes.php, and product_info.php pages to

allow user ordering of these attributes.

 

Should I also upload the original of the product_info.php to see if this fixes it since I can't seem to overwrite my database with the backup?

2. The original file has issues, so u may have more luck with your restore with Database backup manager
