devpro631 Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Hi, I set up an OSCommerce site for my sister since I have a PHP background, and I ran into a problem with the OS Commerce newsletter script which contains the welcome message in catalog -> includes -> languages -> english -> newsletter.php. Is there any mod available to change this message via the admin panel? Or will my sister have to call me each time she needs it changed? I'd be happy to do it for her but she wants it changed often and I work a ton of hours so that might cause her some problems. I don't have any trouble installing OS Commerce mods, so don't hesitate to recommend even a complicated one. I Googled the topic but all I turned up was information on the OS Commerce module itself, not really a mod to do what I'm looking for. If any of you can help I'd really appreciate it! Thank you in advance!
FIMBLE Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Not sure what you mean there Jim, you are able to change the newsletter text via admin / tools / newsletter manager You can also add on an FCK HTML newsletter mod. Is this what you mean? Nic Sometimes you're the dog and sometimes the lamp post [/url] My Contributions
devpro631 Posted June 13, 2009 Author Posted June 13, 2009 Hi Nic, I'm referring to the email that's sent out when someone signs up for the newsletter. The "TEXT_INFORMATION" is located in the catalog -> includes -> languages -> english -> newsletter.php. In essence it's the "welcome" email. As far as I know all of the FCK mod will only allow her to change the emails which are sent but not the welcome email, at least not without some modification. And unfortunately she needs to be able to change that welcome email on a sorta regular basis. Any ideas?
