Basically I would like to show in the order total the VAT for countries that have to pay it and when sending to countries that do not pay VAT to show that same price as when selling with VAT but without a row for VAT. So for example if I sell a product for £50 to the UK the invoice will show £43.48, vat = £ £6.52 and total as £50. So when selling to US I would like the value to show as £50 with any description of VAT being applied. Thanks Whats the point of a signature?
themilkman Posted June 12, 2009 Author Posted June 12, 2009 Just spoke to an online business and asked if they minus the VAT when sending to no EU countries and they said no. The guys said they charge the full amount regardless of where they are sending the goods and leave it up-to the customer to claim it back. So does that mean he pockets the VAT and also gets to claim back the VAT the seller paid for before exporting? Whats the point of a signature?
