thekitacc
I just set up a new site and I am having two warnings come up on the top of the page in pink. One says: WARNING: Installation directory exists at: ____________________ Please remove this directory for security reasons. (I can't find the directory anywhere....) The second warning: Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: _________________/configure.php . This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permission on this file. I tried changing permissions but it didnt change the problem. Please if anyone has the solution to these let me know! I would really appreciate it!! ♥geoffreywalton
Most people follow the instructions on the screen. :-) The directory is up on your host server and can be found using filemanager on your hosts control panel. As can setting permissons. Try asking your host help line. You could read the useful threads in the link below. I know at least 1 covers these messages and how to get rid of them.
