It's sad to see a site that looks like this :(

It's standard osCommerce, with a fixed width and an awful colour scheme.

It could be so much more.

Hi,

Surely. My apologies. Didn't notice that it until you told me. Anyway, I have made some amendments to your advise. Thanks.

Ok. Thanks. Other then the color, how could I improve on the fixed width? I would like my site to look something like that since I dont want my site to occupy the whole horizontal length of the browsers. Any suggestions please? Thanks.

What's with all the bright neon colors? And what's with your flashing product info? Ice Cream and Adidas?

Is this a joke, are we being Punk'd? Where's Ashton Kutcher hiding?

If you are going to sell shoes, shouldn't we be able to pick a size? Also, just a suggestion, I would change the checkout, update, and continue shopping buttons to reflect the overall color scheme of your site.

I am currently just learning osCommerce and PHP, but am always willing to help out.

Humm... WOW... :o

Well... Ok for starters:

Your fixed width is broken. The right column is no where near the right of the table.

Do a little research on how colors have an effect on people, then research website color schemes.

Turn off product count in admin panel.

Find something to replace the -> in your category menu.

Fix the corner graphics in the infobox headers.

I clicked and went to this product - http://www.fashioncraves.com/product_info....roducts_id=1819. No information, or sizes to order. The manufacturers logo is HUGE and causes the right column to expand to the right of the table. The right column ends up being about twice the size of the left column.

Get an SSL certificate.

Change the stock osC buttons and icons to match your site.

Fix the breadcrumb trail - Home and Catalog?

That should be enough to keep you busy for awhile.

Hi,

I would appreciate it a lot if all of you could at least rate my site.

This is my first site which I modified myself.

Please rate and give me your sincere comments. Thanks

First off, the only perception people get of your business is the website they see. When you have a flashing banner that barely gives you time to read one company and looks like an ad for a rave, people will be scared to purchase high quality, pricey items like the ones you have listed on your site.

Since it seems your php and html coding skills are not the greatest, go see if there are any templates out there that suit your style. There are some nice addons that will make the overall layout of your site much cleaner and more professional. Most likely they will as well make it much easier for you to edit your site.

Due to the amount of work you have done with all your products listed, always remember to back up your files and databases before you make any changes. And truthfully based on what I can see, you might need some help if any major changes are going to be made.

If you need some help finding out where files are or how to make your page perform a certain task, feel free to PM me for some help!

Best of luck with the store!

In addition to the forum rules, live stores discussed in this channel must be powered by osCommerce Online Merchant and have the "Powered by osCommerce" text displayed on the site. Not only is the osCommerce solution being used, but valuable feedback will also be presented by the osCommerce community.

If you come across a post not related to an osCommerce powered live store, the live store not having the "Powered by osCommerce" text, or the live store breaking the forum rules of presenting osCommerce related services (eg, web hosting), please report it so it can be deleted.
