andrew99
I'm new to oscommerce but everything seems to be going fine for now - the install was easy and it's a customizable program (even compared to many of the paid carts I've worked on). I'm very happy. Question - I am try to figure out how to put "add to cart" buttons on my cart homepage (index.php). I guess these buttons would need to appear with the products inside the various infoboxes. The "add to cart" buttons are only showing on my product detail pages as of now (on index.php, there are only the product graphics and text links). I've seen other oscommerce sites with this feature, so it seems as if it's possible. I've exhaustively searched and haven't come up with anything. Thank you for any suggestions. I already obsessed over the location you mentioned and can't seem to find the setting to make "add to cart" buttons visible on the homepage of the cart. I can't seem to find the details in the support docs or the admin section. I'm using version 2.2 Rcra. In the Product Listing section, I see these Titles: Display Product Image Display Product Manufaturer Name Display Product Model Display Product Name Display Product Price Display Product Quantity Display Product Weight Display Buy Now column Display Category/Manufacturer Filter (0=disable; 1=enable) Location of Prev/Next Navigation Bar (1-top, 2-bottom, 3-both) Any suggestions to which one of these would enable "add to cart" buttons on the homepage of the cart? Is this something that also involves me inserting code snippets? Thanks for any suggestions.
spooks
assuming your talking of the product listing on the 'main' page its the Display Buy Now column if your talking of the new product section, then u need to edit that page, or add Product Listing Enhancements, Thumbnails & Manufacturer Headings http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/6051 or perhaps u have a template, in which case your asking in the wrong place!! When I alter the values in the "Display Buy Now column," the only difference I see is the buy now buttons appearing on the category pages. Anyway - "Product Listing Enhancements, Thumbnails & Manufacturer Headings" looks like the solution. Seems like this will allow me to get the add to cart buttons on my home page. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
