Hello,

I'm new to Oscommerce, and trying to figure out what version of Oscommerce I'm having. Where can I tell this info?? I search every link in my admin and couldn't seem to see this most basic info???

Thanks,

Dan

i don't know if its the best place to look, but when logged in as the admin, go to Tools | Server Info.

mine has a big OSC version info box displayed there.

here's a little history for you:

http://blogs.oscommerce.com/2007/04/25/his...-oscommerce-22/

if you grab OSCommerce today:

http://www.oscommerce.com/solutions/downloads

you're getting either V2.2 RC 2a or V3.0 Alpha5

here, you can see where V3.0 is at, and where it's going:

http://www.oscommerce.com/community/roadmap

so if you're on 2.2MS2, and the next release of v3.0 is Alpha 6 and it's to have a tool to upgrade your store, I'd say you should just wait, you're almost ready to upgrade with help instead of doing it all yourself. but really, only your needs can decide what's right for you, so read the details linked above regarding features and requirements to figure out what's best for you.

You can't tell for sure by using admin. See my signature for a thread on how to tell for sure.
