Hi,

 

I have been trying to install FCKeditor i have followed all the instructions but i am getting this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function tep_draw_fckeditor() in /home/*****/public_html/iadmin/categories.php on line 538

I think i have found the thread that answers my problem but i can not find what i have done wrong.

I have been trying to do this all day and still no luck.

 

if your error is 'Call to undefined function: tep_draw_fckeditor() '

 

then you have not defined it, so either you did not mod /admin/includes/functions/html_output.php or

 

you made errors when editing /admin/includes/functions/html_output.php to disable the added function or

 

you have not uploaded your modded /admin/includes/functions/html_output.php or

 

you have altered /admin/includes/application_top.php to remove require(DIR_WS_FUNCTIONS . 'html_output.php');

 

 

thats it, no other possibilities.

Sorry, I made a mistake in that last on. The file location should be admin/includes/application_top.php.

Yes its the same file as above only its in /public_html/iadmin/application_top.php.

Have i added

require(DIR_WS_FUNCTIONS . 'html_output.php');

in the right place.

They can't be the same; the two files are very different.

 

If that code is there, then you can't be having this error. So which of the four possibilities did you make a mistake on?

With the application_top.php. file i have one in:

/public_html/iadmin/includes/application_top.php.

and

/public_html/includes/application_top.php.

 

They both look the same to me.

Then you've just found one of your problems. I just ran a comparison of the two files from stock osC 2.2RC2a, and I can verify that most of the lines are different. Given the problems you are having, you probably need to replace the one in admin/includes. You could use a comparison program to tell which one is off.

I have compared the files and i can see you are right.

I modified the /public_html/iadmin/application_top.php. the way you said but i am still getting the same error.

Given that file was the wrong one, I'm guessing that you did the same thing with something else. admin/includes/functions/html_output.php could also be confused with the one on the catalog side. There could be several others as well. I suggest that you check any file that you have modified against the same file in stock osCommerce.

That file should not contain that function. Either you overwrote it with a different file, or you added something to it that shouldn't be there. Again, revert to a working backup.
