Updating Prices

Hi, I'm trying to update two prices in my online catalog and am having difficulties. I'm sure this is something ridiculously easy and stupid but just can't figure it out.

I've gone into the Catalog, Categories/Products menu, clicked on my item, changed the price, hit Preview and then Update. I can see the new price in the admin section but when I click the "Online Catalog" button, it doesn't show the new prices there.

Any help would be hugely appreciated. This is just a simple site with only 4 items that are sold.

Thanks so much.

Check your cache too... your site may be pulling up old data, you would need to reset cache.

Hi, I've got Pounds set as the currency (it's the only one). This is what it says in /includes/languages/*.php:

English:

// if USE_DEFAULT_LANGUAGE_CURRENCY is true, use the following currency, instead of the applications default currency (used when changing language)

define('LANGUAGE_CURRENCY', 'USD');

Spanish & German:

// if USE_DEFAULT_LANGUAGE_CURRENCY is true, use the following currency, instead of the applications default currency (used when changing language)

define('LANGUAGE_CURRENCY', 'EUR');

Thanks for your help. I actually haven't done anything with this site since I set it up two years ago, now they just needed two prices changed and I thought it would be easy (haha).

Thanks. How would I do that in osC?

Does anyone have any other suggestions, please? Still can't get the price change in admin to show up in the online catalog. I've searched the help here and on the web and just can't find what the heck the problem is. So frustrated.

Thanks,

Nick

I would have thought the currency for pounds should be GBP.

Why have you got EUR set if you do not have that currency set up?

Is your admin configure set to change the same db as your shop configue?

First thread in the installation forum has 2 things to do if they appear as zero.

You also did not say what the conversion rate is set at.

Hi, sorry I meant that I've got GBP as the currency. I don't have EUR set anywhere that I know of. There is no conversion rate that I'm aware of, we are selling everything in GBP only. I tried somethings from the first thread but nothing is working yet.

<<Is your admin configure set to change the same db as your shop configue?>> Not sure where I set/change this?

I don't know why this is so difficult. The site has been working fine for two years and as far as I know, no one has gone in and changed anything. When I entered the prices initially, it was easy and they updated automatically in the catalog. It's just now, they won't update no matter what I do. Arrgh.

Yep as I mentioned I did try the installation forum thread suggestions. I've changed the currency as well from USD to GBP. We've tried adding and deleting products, changing prices, etc and it still won't update in the catalog. I'm sure there must be something small we are missing doing but we just can't figure it out. I've spent hours searching the web and reading forums for similiar problems. Would it help if I sent a screenshot of anything?

Thanks,

Nick
