Hi,

I have an issue where I am in the process of designing an updated version of my site whilst the old one is still live. But I have an odd issue where by my New catagories list is being replace by the old one my live site. There is also a manufacturer search from my old site in my new one also.

I am at a loss as to how this can happen or how to get rid of them as the site are in different folders.

Any Help would be appreciated

look first check configure.php file in catalog for proper path of images and files

like use DIR_WS_IMAGES. ../catalog/images

to fetch images from older folder

or if you have used .htaccess file then make changes in directory file .

hope this will solve your problem

Hi,

I have checked these files and they all point to the new site.

look have a clear and deep look into these two files

because I too had this problem for long time and the error was that I was using .htaccess file and had not changed the directory .Also in oscommerce only these two files have the specified directory from where different products are displayed.

So I 'll suggest you to re-check these two files

Ok will re check the htaccess file as I think this is the most likley culprit. Is there something specific I should look out for?

Problem solved. My Hosting company who are excellent by the way and have given me loads of support and advice. Came to the rescue.

Apparantly the issue was caused by having the cache turned on in my test site. Turned it off problem solved.

If you want any details of my hosting company if your looking to move hosts let me know I will gladly supply the details. I at least owe them that.
