crxvfr Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 I am wondering if its possible to run several domains off of one oscommerce database. More specifically, have a main domain, then run subdomains with a separate oscommerce scripts and use a common database for all the domains. (...turning off products you don't want in any particular domain would turn the product off for all domains *at the database*). IE: Welcome to widgets.com > Welcome to blue.widgets.com > Welcome to red.widgets.com > Welcome to green.widgets.com > ...then checkout at any of those domains with all the items you may have picked up from any of those domains. The goal is to be able to switch domains or departments, each having their own products, and retain the shopping cart.
web-project Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 possible, simply do the search on the forum as I have explained how to archive sort of solution. Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here! 8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself. Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues. Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.
