ukracer
Hi I have spent the last 3 weeks trying to sort out shipping but it transpires that it lloks like I have dogy files that are preventing the shipping from working despite me configuring it correctly. NOW nothing works and I dont know why. I have re-instated a number of files but I still get the error PAge not found. 404 when trying to check out a product. http://www.dcracing.co.uk/catalog/login.ph...?action=process Can any one shed any light on it please...............grasping at straws now I can tell you! toolcrazy
That's strange, things seem to be working for me. :? Steve -------------------------
Guest
Andy, I just tried it too. I used a US address and with 1- 5pound tire in my cart it had 1pound for tax and shipping would have been 5 pounds also. Is that what it should have been? Is it only a problem on UK orders? ukracer
That's strange, things seem to be working for me. :? Ok I was just about to post and update. If I did not know better I would think that someone is playing with me....I am convinced it is secure so I have dismissed that option for now :) ...as you say it now works and I have done nothing since I posted this request. One thing is still not working and that is the shipping is still not working despite the fact it has been set up by the person who wrote the contrib. Does anyone who knows the checkout procedure know why it would not be working please??

By my reckoning you should be charged....?4.77 unless I read the tables wrong. It seems to be adding tax from somewhere but also getting the postage wrong. It seems to truncate any figures it gives to whole numbers.

Guest
I remember seeing a thread about weights that are less than 1 unit a few days ago. If I remember correctly, there was a small code change to make to fix it.... The tax is another story, sorry, Oregon has no sales taxes and I haven't a clue except to tell you to check your settings... :? BTW- I didn't complete my order....I'm testy testor in your accounts though... :D

The tax is wierd I have never seen it before and as you say I thought settings but I cant find any wrong.....I will persue this though. Its ok if you complete the sale the shop is not live yet and I will elete and testing accounts before it does go live! ukracer
Andy, What is the shipping doing or not doing? I worked (or at least appeared to) a few minutes ago. Ok I have now set up a few test weights. If you use the tyres section you will see they have 0.2 1.2 2.2 3.2 25.2 in their title well that is also their weights. As you suggest it might be only the UK I am having problems with as I am only using one test account but I doubt it as its the same contrib. I will test it shortly though but the figures being produced read: 0.2 is ?1 for Royal mail and ?4 for special delivery. 1.2 is ?4 for Royal mail and ?6 for special delivery. 2.2 is ?9 for Royal mail and ?18 for special delivery. 3.2 is ?9 for Royal mail and ?18 for special delivery. 25.2 is ?13 for Royal mail and ?1,000 for special delivery. This in my estimation should be using the figures/data string shown in the thread above. Now if will use a test account see if this is replicated to the states or elsewhere and post my results. ukracer
Andy, What is the shipping doing or not doing? I worked (or at least appeared to) a few minutes ago. Ok now I have the answer. I can't believe that no one has spotted this before. I actually posted it was being truncated but did not realise there is a section in currencies that allows you to specify how many decimal places you need to set. The interesting thing is that it was making the figures round up or round down to fit whole numbers. So......the whole month saga was donw to the sum total of .. I do think if nothing else this highlights the real need for a really good FAQ system to cut through the massive amount of duplicate posts in the formums many of which go unanswered because people do tire of replying to the same few posts each time. Hope my problems help others.
