Urgent Help Needed - Paypal Web Standard Payment

Dear All,

 

I rhave a few questions regarding the Paypal Web Standard Payment method:

 

1. Initially I used the OSC paypal package for payment and followed the instructions from some of the community members, checked and configured all the options, except I could not find ipn.php. I went to created a paypal sandbox account. Then I created a user account on our site, and try to make a purchase. After all the billing information (paypal is the only option available), I chose "confirm order" and then I was redirected to the paypal sandbox site. I logged in, and nothing else happened. I tried to manually choose "send money" to our site (email address), still got npothing back from the sandbox server. I went back to check our site, it reported that no order existed, and there was still something in the shopping cart. Can anyone tell what I did wrong?

 

2. Do I need to generate the Paypal Wen Standard Payment package from Paypal, including the buttons, etc?

 

3. Do I need the ipn.php? if so, where can i get it?

If you are using the PayPal Website Payments Standard module then in the IPN Notification section on both the PayPal Sandbox business account and your live account you need the URL

"http://www.yourdomain.com/ext/modules/payment/paypal/standard_ipn.php."

That is where your IPN is, you should get callbacks to your admin and the order updated providing the customer returns to your site
