charles
I am hoping that continuing this thread under a new topic with a different question will attract some input from different viewers which may help me. The original post was by ixbiosxi Jan 23 under the topic 'help with images'. However, the problem images are specifically the 'button' images, all others work fine which is why I am refining the topic for resubmission. My reply of Feb 7 to ixbiosxi contains a more detailed explanation. I am missing only the button images from my offline development site. all other images show up and all links work. This occurs only in the 'catalog' files. All buttons appear in 'admin' Can someone please tell me how the button images make it from webrootshopname(or catalog)includeslanguagesenglishimagesbuttons onto the welcome page? Everything installed fine on a live webserver in September. This problem in occuring on my offline personal PC being used for development. I do not want to make the customization changes, upload them and find out that I have lost the button images on the live site. On my PC C:phpdevwww is the webroot and NSreinstall is the shop folder. All catalog files as well as the 'admin' directory are installed in NSreinstall (there is no 'catalog' directory). The directory structure is the same on the live site with only the shop name differing. Let's examine just one to follow - the 'button_quick_find.gif' image. I have intensely studied the following files and cannot find directory definitions or references which would bring that button image to the welcome page. C:phpdevwwwNSreinstallstylesheets.css C:phpdevwwwNSreinstallincludesconfigure.php C:phpdevwwwNSreinstalldefault.php C:phpdevwwwNSreinstallincludescolumn_left.php C:phpdevwwwNSreinstallincludesboxessearch.php C:phpdevwwwNSreinstallincludeslanguagesenglishdefault.php How does the code know how to make the jump from languagesenglishimagesbuttons back down to C:phpdevwwwNSreinstallincludes for display. I can fine no DEFINE or concatenation to establish that link. Is there a file I am not examining or a DEFINE statement missing? I have checked all permissions. They are set at drwxrwxrwx for all folders and -rw-rw-rw- for all files. Thanks in advance. We stand in ignorance only for questions not asked.
