kristi18
I just signed up and got a website through Justhost.com. I am trying to install the OS commerce shopping cart they offer, however I keep getting an error which is the following Install OS Commerce (2/3) The installation can not be completed: - You chose to install in the main directory of the domain kristinscreativecorner.com, but there are conflicting filenames, therefore we can not proceed. Following filenames already exist in the main directory of the domain kristinscreativecorner.com (path="/home/kristi18/public_html/").You must manually remove these files before proceeding with auto-installation: images index.php Click on the browser's Back button to fix reported errors. How do you get past this error. Their support was no help.
spooks
you have pre-existing files in your root, delete all files then install, or, better download 2.2rc2a from here, upload all files & run the install Sam Remember, What you think I ment may not be what I thought I ment when I said it. sjnewbie
you have pre-existing files in your root, delete all files then install, or, better download 2.2rc2a from here, upload all files & run the install Hey Sam, would you mind if you explain it in more details? I have the exact same error message! I am a complete newbie. I've got an 'addon domain' on which I want to install oscommerce. '.......Following filenames already exist in the main directory of the domain addondomain.com (path="/home/xxx/public_html/addondomain.com/"). You must manually remove these files before proceeding with auto-installation: images ' But this file called images, I am not supposed to delete them (I can but I shouldn't touch them). Last night, I downloaded 2.2rc2a then uploaded under my addondomain.com using filezilla but didn't know what to do after that so I just deleted it all. Can you please help? Thank you!
