Can you put a unique title and description on a category page?

My store has categories for Jewelry, Pottery, Ornaments, etc. and within those categories, there are subcategories for earrings, necklaces, pendants, etc. Every page seems to inherit a master heading stored in includes/languages/english/index.php as defined by the variable HEADING_TITLE. Is there some way to define a unique, descriptive title and a short descriptive paragraph at the top of the page for each category/subcategory? I had hoped that on the administrative panels there would be a place to do this, but it seems that all you can do is define a unique thumbnail picture for categories and pages.

Thanks :(

The Header Tags SEO contribution (see My Addons) is the best solution since it provides that option as well as adding meta tags to your shop. If you already have some other meta tags contribution installed, then Categories Description would be the one to use.
