ktaylor Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Recently I was helped with a problem and as part of the solution I was advised that it was dangerous to store backups on a server. I deleted all of the backups and am now storing them on my hard drive, but have a question. In the admin panel there is a line that reads: Last Restoration: db_123_osc-20090506101011.sql (forget) Is it safe to leave that there and if I click forget will it reverse the changes made in that restoration? FIMBLE Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Your back ups should be safe enough on the server so long as you follow a few basic security items Change the name of your Admin folder to something that will be hard to guess, and the .htaccess protection file is in place in your admin folder.
