sort products

is there a way to have a sort order for products, ive got plugin for sort order for categories which is great, but now i need a way of ordering items specifically in each category...

 

if this is really simple and i missed it forgive me...im dealing with the most annoying client in the world :x

I built and use that product sort contribution. It's great if you want to use the same concept as category sort.

This is slightly off topic but im trying to work out how to change the default sorting of my product listing to sort by manufacturer instead of product name.

 

How can I do this?
