Lisa2877
I set up the shipping module for Canada Post last month. Everything was going well - no errors, calculating well... all was good. We are just about to go live and I did a test order this morning and the Shipping section gives me an "XML parsing error". Does any one have any ideas on what could be causing this? I reinstalled the module, contacted Canada Post, and searched this support site, but I can't find anything wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Lisa Do you have your postal code entered without a space in the admin area under configuration My Store Shipping/Packaging?
Lisa2877
Do you have your postal code entered without a space in the admin area under configuration My Store Shipping/Packaging? Yes. And I took out the space in the postal codes of my test customer accounts to see if that made a difference. Nothing is working.
Pinball
One cause of XML parsing errors is if the address country or province/state has special characters in it. Canada Post (for example) does not accept special characters such as umlauts or accents on names. There are a number of these in your address bank - check for example Switzerland - Zurich, does the 'u' of Zurich have the double dot above it (ü)? If so, Canada Post will reject that as a valid state/province. I suspect this is true for Fedex, UPS, and others too.
greasemonkey
@@Pinball I see your other post.... I have a working copy of Canada Post automatic labels in REST. However its VERY messy. I was suppose to clean it up, but its really a way beyond me and I was a little embarrassed releasing it in the addons area. You are welcome to it... I have done upgrade instructions.... Send me a PM. Are you able to work on cleaning up the code at all?
