Hi guys ,

My first post here , and i have just started using oscommerce for the first time (actually couple of hours earlier) ,

I have setup oscommerce solution , now i want to do some customization , though some of the customization have been achieved through browsing and researching through google.

There just one problem that i'd like you guys to help me with , There's a register button on my site , that directs to register.php , all i want to do is , check whether a user is registered or not and redirect it to a page , telling them that you are "already registered".

Please point me in the write direction ,

if there's some oscommerce functions that do it , please explain if you could.

also if this question has already been posted , somebody can send me a link to it's archived threat.

or may be some links that can help me get started on oscommerce customization.

Best Regards ,

and sorry if i am asking too much.

Yes , i'd like to create an account , and check if they are logged in otherwise redirect to acount creation page.

But i am not too fimiliar with oscommerce at the moment.

Do oscommerce have thier own cookie variables which can be used. Or can i just create my own cookies.

Sorry for acting dumb , but i am really a starter here.

(I can really appreciate if someone can point me to good aurticles/posts to get started

)

Thanks
