pkomnini Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Hi to all, I wanted to ask if anyone can give some ideas on how to change the registration process. Let me explain.... I want a user to gain access in members area not right after he registers but only after the administrator enables him and make him a registered user. I'll try to explain even better. A user performs a registration in an oSCommerceshop.after that, the user can login. I want the proccess to become: A user performs a registration in an oSCommerceshop. After that, the user can login only after the administrator enables him. Any ideas of how to do this??? What changes do i have to make??? Thanks to all in advance
pkomnini Posted June 2, 2009 Author Posted June 2, 2009 Any ideas???nothing? Is there any add-ons for doing that? Some help pls!
pkomnini Posted June 2, 2009 Author Posted June 2, 2009 I solved it. I made some changes on admin/customers.php in order to let the administrator decide the users to enable for login, on login.php in order to make the necessary controls for this to work properly and on includes/languages/english/login.php in order to inform the users, through an error message, that they are not Enabled Users yet. If anyone thinks that is interested in this different approach of login process can pm me so that i can give him the precise changes to do to make it work. The process is now this: A user performs a registration. By default he is not an enabled user, so he cannot gain access to the members area. When and if the administration wants he can enable him just by going to the customers area(on admin mode), selecting the user in question and changes the option of "Enabled Customer" from NO to YES through a drop down menu. Only after that can the user access the member area.
