jejudo Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 I am selling books, both shipping and download (ebook). Shipping books have 2 properties: paperback or cloth. Ebooks have 2 properties: scanned or editable. In admin panel, I just can input the total quantity of the product. For example, I have 15 books in paperback and 15 books in cloth, totally 30. However, after time, when some customers bought the books, the quantity of remaining books in each type can't be updated in OsCommerce. How can I deal with this? Even if the paperback books were sold out, customers still can choose it in checkout page :( The Ebook is sold by download, but the download link is only one for one book. I want that scanned ebooks and editable ebooks have different download links. How could I do that? Do I have to add 2 versions of one book separately?

Do I have to add 2 versions of one book separately? you assign 2 different files one for download and one for scan-able and assign to the product with corresponding attributes for paperback and cloth back books i think you will need 2 different books set up unless there is a contribution that can assign qty to attributes this contribution might help with that http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/3345
jejudo Posted June 1, 2009 Author Posted June 1, 2009 Thank you very much. I mean that I may have 4 versions of the same book: cloth, paperback, scanned ebook and editable ebook. The problem with assigning quantity to attribute is solved by using the contribution http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/3345. The remaining problem is that I can't assign 2 different files to 2 attributes. Could you suggest me a solution?
