order confirmation email

I know some OSC sites generate order confirmation email after customer placed an order.

 

Inside the email it contains the following:

Date

Order#

Products purchased

Shipping address

Billing address

 

 

How can it be done? Is there a module for this purpose? How can I ask OSC send confirmation email after customer made a purchase? Thanks

The confirmation email is getting generated in catalog/checkout_process.php
