reporter
I have installed the software and I got two warnings when I go to the catalog. The first one was easy. So I deleted the install folder. That warning went away. The second warning says: "Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /mnt/stor2-wc1-dfw1/402279/403062/store.videoverite.tv/web/content/catalog/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file." What are the right user permissions? Thanks, Chad

Thanks, Chad you need to set the permissions of you includes/configure.php file to 444 you can use your ftp file manager (Chmod function) or and ftp app like wise-ftp and right click the file select properties. Guest
Hi all, without starting a new topic, I thought I would add to this as my problem is the same as the ops, I understand permissions and have set the configure.php to 444, the problem I have though is that it does not keep this, as soon as I reload the connection with core FTP, the permissions are set back to 644, thus giving me the warning on the site again, I cannot get it to stay at 444 or anything other than 644 for that matter. Any help would be most appreciated. many thanks
♥geoffreywalton
Do it through your hosts admin panel, sometimes changes made using ftp clients do not "stick". G PS you could use one of my contributions Need help installing add ons/contributions, cleaning a hacked site or a bespoke development, check my profile Virus Threat Scanner My Contributions Basic install answers.
