skipunda Posted May 28, 2009 Share Posted May 28, 2009 I'm becoming increasingly aware that showing a large amount of products per page (around 100 for some) is not doing me any favors in search rankings. My target audience is quite happy with this amount of products. In fact I would go as far as saying they would never search beyond say 20 products if it meant clicking somewhere Do you have any experience of this? Jack_mcs Posted May 28, 2009 Share Posted May 28, 2009 You need to set the site up for your customers first. If they are happy with the 100 products/page, then leave it there. That many links won't hurt you with the search engines though you should have text printed with them for the best results. The usual problem caused by having that many links is that it takes too long for the page to long. Some web surgers are still using dialup so you may want to check the load speed of that page for a 56K modem. It it takes too long, you will probably lose as many customers as you save by having it.
