osCommerce for Photographers - Users Only See Certain Products on Store Function?

Hello All,

 

We have a client who is a Photographer, they would like to achieve a ecommerce store that would allow them to let users only see certain products on the store.

 

Bassically they want to be able to upload images for purchase using the digital download module, but then to only have the selected users be able to purchase them as the users obviously do not want other people to purchase there images.

 

I am not sure if it would be best to create usergroups and assign users into those so they can only see certain products, or if it would be possible to generate custom signup urls so that anyone signing up using an individual url would only be able to see set pictures as defined by the admin.

 

Overall, I am not sure if this is possible with osCommerce but any ideas would be appreciated.

 

Also, if anyone knows any sites with a similar sort of function please mention them.
