Search field in the header

Hi All,

Can anybody point me in the right direction on the code to add the search field to the right hand side of the header? I don't want the info box and am just looking for the actual search field and an advanced search link.

As I was reading through other posts looking for this before asking I came across a lot of posts about the Header SEO contribution. I am very wet behind the ears but it looks like, with the contribution, my site will pull the header info directly from the database rather than header.php. Is that the case, and if so, should I install the contribution before moving the search field?

Thanks to all for the usefull info in the posts. I don't have anything to compare this too but had no idea what I was getting into with this site. I will try to keep the newbie noise to a minimum.

I'm not sure if it's exactly what you said you did not want, but, there is an Advanced search that you can place in your header included in the contribution section. It will show up in a strait line the center of your header under the My Account|Cart Contents|Checkout. It's nice and clean if your interested
