Shanison Posted May 23, 2009 Share Posted May 23, 2009 (edited) Hi all, i have set up one online store using oscommerce with English, Chinese supported. In the admin console, under the catalog-> product description. I entered the English description and Chinese description. The Chinese description is able to display properly in the store all the time. However, when i want to edit the product description of that product, i click catalog-edit product, now the product description for the Chinese version displayed weird characters. And when i check the database, it is also display some weird characters. I guess it is encoding problem. However, the Chinese product name under the catalog is displayed properly. Anybody knows why? uckc Posted July 7, 2009 Share Posted July 7, 2009 I was wondering if you found a solution yet. If not, maybe you can try adding a WYSIWYG editor to the administrator panel? I am in the same scenario and I think a WYSIWYG editor *should* fix this encoding problem. *fingers crossed* I haven't tried this yet though. I'll try it tomorrow and will let you know.
