Admin panel no longer communicates with the website

Please forgive me if this has already been answered. I tried searching for this information, but I lack enough technical know-how to know if I was even reading the right posts.

My hosting service "migrated" my website. Though I don't really know what that means, now my control panel does not communicate with the website. For example, if I make updates on the admin panel, the panel itself retains the new information, but the website itself does not change.

I assume this has something to do with the migration and that some things aren't pointing in the right direction, but I don't know where to look to fix them.

Thank you so much for your help, it is truly appreciated!!
