Well I can tell you for a fact that it is you and not USU5.

 

Either you haven't correctly set .htaccess or you haven't correctly set includes/configure.php

By all accounts it is sometimes in header.php and sometimes in footer.php

Couldn't find anything wrong in the header and footer codes as well.

Must be somewhere else. Funny thing is I can see the correct SEO paths on the URL and also the correct page shows up for 1 sec and then back to home page!

Will try out the orig OSC install later in the day when I get back.

having a few issues and i'm sure they have to do with moving servers/domains..

 

Basically I had someone create a test store and then give me all of the files for the store (this addon was installed) and then I would upload it to my server and have it working on my domain..

 

So I rewrote the .htaccess file with my new domain / file path so now it looks like this:

I reran the installer to see if it picked up any errors and everything seemed fine, it showed the only error being that the DB tables already exist (I knew this because I exported the sqp and reinstalled it on the new server. )

 

So the error is basically that the urls are not actually bringing me anywhere, i get a 404 not found on all categories and products. See here My link

I installed everything according to the instructions but when i try to modifly application_top.php and html_output.php , my website goes blank.

There should be no problem adding the application_top.php code, what version of PHP is the server running?

I have this successfully installed on several sites. However, the last time I installed this mod, I find I do not have a link to configure the mod. Specifically in admin-> configuration ->, there is no link to 'Seo Uris 5' like I have on the other sites. I have gone backwards and forwards through the installation and just don't see where that link is added. What have I missed?

it's in the "start here" installation instructions ..

 

Database Install

Important: Close ALL browser windows to lose the session before directly running the installer. then ...

Run the file catalog/installer.php

 

You should receive a success message meaning that the database install is complete.

 

You MUST now remove the two installer files as listed below .. this is a major security risk.

* catalog/installer_class.php

What had happened is that I copied the website and database from another site with the Ultimate Seo already installed. So when I ran the installer.php on the new site it gave a message that one of the tables it was trying to install was already installed. When I went to my database and dropped usu_cache, the installer was then able to run to completion and install the missing link in admin.

Hi Guys,

 

I recently installed the Ultimate SEO URLs 5 on my local website and it was working perfectly ...thanks for an awesome contribution.

 

However, I've come across a bit of a problem now that I have moved my website online. The problem is that although the images display properly on the home page, they do not show up on the internal pages. I believe this is something to do with the index.php part of the web address disrupting the path to the images. For example if I right click on one of the images that isn't displaying and then choose properties the web path is:

 

http://www.mywebsite.co.uk/catalog/index.php/images/store_logo.png

 

when it should obviously be:

 

http://www.mywebsite.co.uk/catalog/images/store_logo.png

 

I think I followed the install instructions pretty carefully ...however there is always the chance I could have missed something. If anyone can offer any suggestions that would be great.
