moving OSC site from one server to another

Hi

 

not really technical, just helping someone out by letting them put their OSC site on our server. I did the auto installation on my Hosstgator server - worked like a charm. I copied the public html directory from one server to another. I exported the database from old and imported to the new. But when I view the site on my server it is still pointing to the old server database.

 

I know this is a matter of changing something in the config file - but I am hoping that some one might be able to point me to a thread that spells it out in "dummy steps" for me. where to find the config files, and specifically which code to change.

 

Similarly, I had a OSC site before and my previous developer had an add on module that gave individual metatags and keywords for each product. Does anyone know where to get this module and how to install it.

the two files that need to be changed are the includes/configure.php and the admin/includes/configure.php

 

you could post both files that you have here with the new hosting location "www.mysite.com" and one of us could assist, but just need to change all old references in both files to the new reference location.

 

If you post here, do not include database name and password!!!!
