registration insert to new table username and password

I would like the registration e-mail confirmation to insert to another table in a like table under another database on the same server. I have two sections a membership section and the shopping cart. The shopping cart is where they go to pay for a membership for the members only section. I want the customer who buys a membership be able to use the username and pasword for bothe the shopping cart and to get into the members only section. Where would I look in the code for the insert statement.
