Is there something I should be doing?

I have an online store which has been going for around a year now. I have noticed recently that after I add attributes using AJAX attribute manager they sometimes disappear. The addon works fine in admin/catelog but when you go to the store they don't always show up (hit and miss).

I am guessing it's to do with my database so is there anything I can do in MySQL to check for errors, flush etc???

Any help greatfully received.

Hi,

I'm not familiar with the AJAX contrib, so I can't offer guidance for why that doesn't work, but I found that using the default product attributes combined with Quick Attributes works well for me.

I'm not familiar with the AJAX contrib iether, is it not a problem with all those visitors that have javascript disabled (about 10% in my experience) making Matts solution the better bet?

Or does it allow for both conditions?

Sam

Thanks for the replies.

It's very intermitant with customers looking at a product and seeing the attributes and then a week later looking again (to order!) and they have gone. When I go into admin and look at the product I notice they have gone completely. I put them back in and sometimes they stay for a while. If I amend the attributes then sometimes it ignores the changes and sticks with the originals.

This makes me think its a db issue. Having done nothing but back up the db since I started trading I am just wondering if there is some monthly maintenance/error checking I should be doing?
