sudodaemon
I just installed OScommerce today and I've been playing around with it... Here is the page I'm testing things out on... http://polkadotbabybowtique.com/shop/produ...?products_id=28 As you can see in the main page I just pasted my old pages code into the description for the product... Now, in here I have options that I have already worked on... color, monogram options, and ribbon... when you select ribbon, a ribbon comes up on the onesie image above... now, my question is, how do I take these values and get OScommerce to add them to the cart with the onesie when somebody wants it... I saw a table for options to add on, that's why there is the memory dropdown at the bottom of the page... In order to do this am I looking at altering a LOT of code? Is this feasible? ♥geoffreywalton
No What you are looking at is setting up categories, adding products in thes categories and setting up product attributes and associating them to the appropriate products. Colour selection as you currently have it is not available out of the box. reggiewjr1
Mr Walton is FAR more experienced than I, but there are a few things I would do before you get into modding your code to work the way you want it to.... This is where I would start.... 1. Update your header.php so that it works properly 2. Create Your Categories 3. Add pages / update pages for your information section as needed. 4. get the 'look and feel' a little farther along and trim out all the 'excess code' from the product description That would just be for starters.... 5. create Products and Product Attributes as needed. Once you have step 5 done, you can start reworking the code to display and integrate the color selector and other attributes as needed. It is doable, but will take some work.... and time to immerse yourself in a proper understanding of the code...
