I am a novice, please bear with me. I have searched and searched and cannot seem to find the answer that I need, so if this has been answered before I appologize.

I have installed Oscommerce and installed a template as well. I installed Paypal Standard and UPS Choice. Everything was running smoothly until I tested checkout. When I click on checkout I am directed to https://yourdomain.com/checkout_shipping.php and rceive the error message Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage. I was receiving the error even before installing shipping and payment modules, but I thought maybe it was because they were not defined/installed.

Has anyone run into this before or know how to fix?

As I stated I am a novice, so I need detailed instructions or advice. If more info is needed please let me know.

Thank you,

Joline

I have the same exact problem and I don't understand why. I haven't messed with any of the coding, any of the links, the only settings that were changed were payment options - at the point when I click something to my cart and then click on checkout I immediately get the same page as Joline - Internet Explorer Cannot Display this Webpage.

Please help!

for anyone still looking - you would have said Yes to SSL installation but you dont have an SSL certificate... you can do a fresh install and select no... or you can search for how to turn it off (those looked too hard for me and werent saving, plus i hadnt done much on the site - search forums for "SSL = false" and "configure.php") or you can buy an SSL certificate apparently they're like US$75 per year

What is the address of the actual page that can not be displayed?

The top post is trying to display an https page and ssl might not be installed.

It is also going to mydomain.com but they might have changed the link but not said so.
