installing os commerce on a debian machine

I have Debian installed on my machine, i have used Filezilla to load the file to the server (that I downloaded to my PC). I have tried everything that I can think of, and I can not get it to run the install for os commerce. Please help the newbie learn how to do this!!!!!

 

Please explain the steps necessary to do this, I am missing something somewhere. All the help that I can find is starting after the install.
