bilbo
I'm currently building my first oscommerce shop. The problem I have is that I can see two worldpay contributions. Does anyone have an oppinions as to which is the best to use? I wish.... I had the Money of Bill [Gates] The Wit of Oscar [Wilde] and could play the guitar like Carlos [santana]!!! I guess I'll just have to settle with being me! :D
ezeman
Hi Bilbo I guess I'm interested in the same question I can't tell you which one to use but I'll tell you how I got on installing Worldpay V4.0 - Version 1.3. but I need 2 fixes to make this robust 1 - As you pointed out in the WP4 forum, when the callback page shows the accept/reject message from WP. At this point the cart has been emptied, the cash has been taken but the order hasn't been logged - anywhere! The customer has to click the "Continue button" on the callback page before being taken to OSC's standard "Order Processed" page. Only then is the transaction complete. Feel free to try this at http://hr.p10.co.uk/default.php - it's my test site but should be up for the next few days. Use 4111111111111111 & any current expiry date (put any old crap in required fields) I'd follow your original request in WP4 thread, contributer Graeme Conkie has just found that is new live site has the same problem so I guess a fix is imminent. 2 - Another problem I've had, however, is with downloadable products being available as soon as transactions are complete - whether or not payment was made (eg - customer sending cheque). I believe Download Controller will fix this. Unfortunately, it has files for all standard payments, such as paypal & cc but not WorldPay. I'm about to look into what this means. What other WP contributions did you try? I saw one that used WP's result files but haven't tried it yet. Cheers Kenny If you learn more than you forget then that's a good thing.
