Cutomer Transaction Showing Up In Admin, But Not Charged?

Hi Folks,

 

I was looking through my orders today and came across a customer who placed an order and was in the system, but we didn't receive notification and when I checked Authorize.net there was no record of his credit card. So he wasn't charged, but I'm wondering why this is.

 

Is it because he didn't finish his transaction?

Was his credit card expired or bogus?

 

I'm not sure and I need to get an answer for our sales team. It said, "Credit Card (Processed by Authorize.net)", on the customer order but I think this is just the preferred payment method.

 

This order was sitting here for 2 weeks. We've since had orders come through that the sales team was notified about. There was only this one that was a bone of contention. Like I said, I'm not sure why this is and I'd like to be educated so I can explain to our sales team what we're seeing here.

I would like to get this information also, as I have 6 sitting in the que and no reason they are there. the other orders processed, but authorize.net says they didn't get this small group.
