clrob11 Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 I am looking to use this as an alternate payment system. Just wondered if anybody has had any experience of useing PayOffline? If so does it get used a lot? Or any other experience of using this method? Chris Better to be looked over than overlooked!
web-project Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 The most difficult payment method, simply use Nochex or PayPal and get the transaction process straight away. Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here! 8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself. Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues. Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.

My Main reason for this payment method was an alternative to card payments. I wanted to give people who are still sceptical about using cards on the internet a way to buy from my site. People use it but its like 1-5% of total customers the rest prefer paypal Getting better with mods but no programmer am I.
Guest Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 looks like too much of headache to me. not to mention those that will take their sweet time getting over to the pay site leaving orders in backlog waiting for payment to ship.

I wanted to give people who are still sceptical about using cards on the internet a way to buy from my site. The same problem here, I found solution to get people believe that my store is very secure - the whole store is accessible only via https/secure protocol (the rest information like T&C, Privacy Policy and contact details are published on website and effects, as most of people don't bother to read it) & also most of people forgetting that everything is purchase via internet using Credit Cards or Debit Cards are 100% protected by banks and credit card companies. Guest Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 My Main reason for this payment method was an alternative to card payments. I wanted to give people who are still sceptical about using cards on the internet a way to buy from my site. I'd recommend it. I use it at MakingTracks and it works well (on the whole) with physical products and download orders. It does take a couple days (I'd say less than 48 hours though usually) for payment confirmation onto the IPN but as long as you make it clear that this is the case on your website it shouldn't be an problem. It does cost a little more than PayPal, with transactions at about 3.5% and then a 20p charge, it depends on if you are selling high or low value goods but as its only charged when you use it, its not that bad. Regards, Tony
