How To Export Data From OsCommerce Urgent!

Hi There,

 

The Affiliates Program need me to upload specific product information.

 

 

Use the character | as the CSV field seperator

 

1. Product Name/Title (Max 70 Chars) REQUIRED

2. Product Currency e.g. US$ REQUIRED

3. Product Price (Max 15 chars) e.g. 10.99 REQUIRED

4. Product Recommended Retail Price (Max 15 chars) e.g. 10.99

5. Product Sale Price (Max 15 chars) e.g. 10.99

6. Product Delivery Cost (Max 15 Chars) e.g. 10.99

7. Product Brand Name (Max 50 Chars) RECOMMENDED

8. Product Brief Description (Max 300 Chars)

9. Product Description (Max 2000 Chars) RECOMMENDED

10. Product URL (Max 500 Chars) REQUIRED

11. Product Image URL (Max 500 Chars) RECOMMENDED

12. Product Image Thumbnail URL (Max 500 Chars) max image size: 125x125 pixels

13. Product Category (Max 500 Chars) RECOMMENDED

14. Season (Max 50 Chars)

15. Gender e.g. M/F or leave blank

16. Product Availability (in days)

17. Sizes Available (Max 50 Chars)

18. Colours Available (Max 50 Chars)

 

For example:

What I did is go to the PHPMYADMIN from cpanel of the oscommerce, and

select the products and products_description, export as CVS file.

 

I found the information are in Products and Products_description.

 

I exported two file, one for CSV, the other for CSV for MS EXCEL.

But I was told:

 

Although the files are not CSV but tab and semicolon delimited they would be

easier to modify and create a correct file from.

 

Having said that though I am unsure what the data in them is as there is no

column header row e.g.

 

54,94,NC-00003eM,6c.gif,6,30/09/2008 13:44,08/10/2008 17:36,NULL,0,1,0,6,6

 

 

It also seems the image URL is not fully qualified i.e. 6c.gif so we would

need the full URL to the image, also again there is no product landing URL

which really is quite key to this.

 

I'm afraid I have no knowledge of CPanel and Oscommerce to advise you how to

obtain the information. Is there anything based on the above that can be

used to formulate a landing URL, for example if NC-00003eM is a product code

do your product landing pages have a common format using the product code?

Easy populate will do this, you need to change the delimiter, it should work (never tried it but do not see why not)

But I think this is for ms2, and my version is osCommerce Online Merchant v2.2 RC2, which one I should download?
