Silvergren Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Hi, I deleted two files in catalog/includes/languages/english that the person who built my site left on, they were listed as a different business name, not regular php files. One was cathysculinarycreations.php and content_cathysculinarycreations. (neither of which are my site...) Looking at them before deleting. After deleting, my store started with a 500 internal server error on the https://www.xxxxxxx.com/catalog/checkout_process.php. So, I re-uploaded the same files from a previous save. I'm still getting the internal server error. It happens on both payment options paypal & check/money order (the two options I have available). The admin side still does what its supposed to do, remove qty, show order with order number, etc. But, upon paypal completion when the order is supposed to go back to my site to the confirmation page, with order number, instead the internal error shows up. And I do not get any confirmation emails of the order. Same goes with the check/money order. I called my hosting company, they had me roll back to yesterdays php files. that didn't work. I've repaired mysql, that didn't work. Any ideas? from the https://www.xxxxxxx.com/catalog/checkout_confirmation.php it goes to https://www.xxxxxxx.com/catalog/checkout_process.php which is where the error shows up.

I just tried placing an order, then went to the admin side and updated the order to order shipped, once I clicked on update order, I got the internal server error there as well....

Silvergren Posted May 11, 2009 Author Posted May 11, 2009 OK, the hta file under catalog/ if I rename, then if I try to view products on the web, it brings up the home index page, even though the url shows it should be the product. hta for catalog/includes: renamed: can access site, but still getting the same internal server error upon completion/confirmation of finalized orders. ergo https://www.xxxxxxx.com/catalog/checkout_process.php, also on the admin side when trying to up date status of orders hta for catalog/admin: renamed: can access site, but still getting the internal server error upon completion/confirmation of finalized orders. ergo https://www.xxxxxxx.com/catalog/checkout_process.php also on the admin side when trying to up date status of orders Also I'm not getting any emails to show any order were placed, nor is the admin sending emails to customers when I update the status of their order...

Ok, next thing I tried was to restore a previously saved mysql database from last month. All the orders that were made after that were no longer showing, as well as products. I manually inputted back all products. Site worked. No problems, not even the error message. Then I started placing orders. Once I reached the point of the last original order, there wasn't any problems, no error messages. The next order I placed, and each order after that, the error started again. I cannot get the confirmation page, nor will it send emails to customers. The order # that starts the problems is 932 ? Any ideas, I'm desperate. Thanks

APPARENTLY WHAT I DID WAS DELETE THE EMAIL ADDRESS WHICH SENDS THE EMAIL TO THE CUSTOMER AND TO YOUR SITE. EG [email protected] DELETE IT AND RECREATE IT AGAIN OR CREATE A NEW EMAIL IN YOUR HOSTING ACCOUNT AND CHANGE IT IN THE CONFIGURATION IN THE ADMIN PAGE. THAT WORKED AND I HAVE NO MORE ISSUES. BUT THIS IS MORE A SERVER ISSUE AT YOUR HOSTING COMPANY AS THIS RECURS EVERY MONTH FOR ME AND I AM PLANNING TO CHANGE MY HOSTING COMPANY AS GODADDY LEVEL OF SERVICE IS NOT UPTO THE MARK.
