However i have not tried new version which is just released but i want to say oscommerce is better than cscart, there is no doubt. I have 500 customer with 300 products online and running updated database. Can someone provide me the solution on how to transfer the cscart to OSCOMMERCE lastest version. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME! <_<

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME! <_< You will have to look at and compare tables for cscart and oscommerce for all products and categories tables renaming any fields in cscart to same name as in oscommerce table then you can simply export data for the tables and import them into oscommerce products and categories transfered over, will need to set stock levels use quick stock updater from contributions to do this
♥geoffreywalton Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 First question is do you want to go to the latest version, it is in the very ealy stages of release and still has loads of unfixed bugs. Secondly the contributions available for it are still very limited compared to rc2a. What about transferring customer info, order history, What other tables do you have? ♥geoffreywalton Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 There is a contribution called Easy Populate that can import product detail from a csv file. What files can cscart export? steve_s Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Just thought export using phpmyadmin detick data you only want structure for now on CScart now do the same for Oscommerce save both the files. Now use winmerge and compare both the files noteing any different fields this will help you to see what you will have to change
