corvagji Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Hi, I am a newbie at this. I recently purchased my own website for an online lingerie store. The first step I took was deleting the unescessary default products that were on the site. Upon doing that In the Section "Products Expected"...I deleted all filled fields but left a sample picture to see what it would look like. The pictures are still there on the home page...but on the my admin end I cannot edit or delete any of them because its showing "0 products"....There is no fields anymore. Can some help? corvagji Posted May 10, 2009 Author Posted May 10, 2009 THANKS FOR YOUR RESPONSE!!! I'm new at this soo....Well I bought a ready to go lingerie website from classyhosts.com through ebay. This is my first site and first experience to all features of having a website. I'm able to post my inventory pics up on my category lists...except for the "Products Expected".....It does not give me a entry field to click on to input any products...It just says "0 products". Also...How can I change the designs and copyright info on my page...To my understanding it has to do with something about java scripts??? Also on my admin page its saying that I don't have a secure ssl...what does this mean and how can I fix this..??
Guest Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Product Expected is populated by using the "Date expected" in the add / edit products screen. The copyright info at the bottom of the page is defined in includes/languages/english.php, look for FOOTER_TEXT_BODY The warning in admin about secure ssl is buggy - don't worry about it - the important thing is to have ssl on the customer/catalog side - i.e when you you to login or create account or chekout it switches from http:// to https:// and you get the padlock icon in your browser

If you read the forum rules, support is only offered to what can be downloaded from the osc site. For everything else, it is buyer beware. No one knows how the code has been hacked (except for the vendor of the dud template).

steve_s Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Can anyone please help me with a step by step process in using FTP....I want to change some of the graphics on my site... simply upload new images named the same name to either catalog/images/ or catalog/images/icons/ folder right click on image then click view image you will easily then be able to see what folder it is in or copy image address in firefox
